Disaster Questionnaire

The Valley News is working with local resources, including Denny Mighell, founder of Temecula People Helping People, to help identify the needs of the community in the event of a disaster and also to inform the community on how to be better prepared. Fires, earthquakes and other hazardous situations are considered disasters.

Do you feel your family is prepared for a disaster with three days worth of supplies?
Do you have an evacuation plan, including a meeting place for your family, and have you discussed it?
If you needed to evacuate could you do it in 30 minutes or less?
Do you feel it is important to be prepared for a disaster?
Would you be willing to take free classes or seminars on being informed?
Is the biggest factor in preparing for a disaster time or money or both?

Do you know how much food and water your family would need for three days?
Do you have all of your important documents in a secondary location?
Do you have emergency communication devices?
Do you know how to prepare your pets for a disaster?
