Musicians fete film fest

Musician’s Workshop Executive Director Jon Laskin leads a youth symphony in a performance of movie theme songs Sunday, Aug. 17, at Tower Plaza in Temecula. The concert was a preview of next month’s Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival.

Andrew Ruiz, 17, keeps his eyes on director Laskin as he plays percussion during the concert. Ruiz has been a member of the group for only three days.

Musician’s Workshop alumnus John Tribelhorn, 22, rejoins the youth orchestra for last Sunday’s performance.
