Temecula Valley’s Joshua Cortez gets things started for TVHS with a 6-4 decision over Dylan Garcia of Chaparral.

Golden Bear Brett Sayer battles the Pumas’ Bradley Christensen to a tough 4-3 decision to lead the Golden Bears to a 39-15 victory over Chaparral and their 88th league win in a row.

Chaparral’s standout Jon Wixom dominated his match scoring a tech fall 18-1 over TVHS’ Jonathon Collins.

Zachary Gastello (TV) scores a 12-0 major dec. over Shane Nacar (CHS); Temecula Valley would win the match 39-15 over cross town rival Chaparral.

Team champions. Bakersfield, Clovis won the overall team championship scoring 272.5 points. Chaparral finished 16th, and host Temecula Valley finished in 20th.

Local girls stand out and prove to be indivisible

Twelve out of 120 girls have been recruited to make the 2011-12 U10 TVSA Hawks All Stars.	The U10 All Stars have expressed excellent sportsmanship and talent and will be participating in the Hawks Shootout on Jan. 21 and 22.
