Temecula Native is WWE Diva

Friday, December 31st, 2004
Issue 53, Volume 8.

At just 23,Temecula Valley High School graduate Christy Hemme beat thousands of other hopefuls to become a WWE World Wrestling Diva.

Growing up on a 60-acre ranch near the Pechanga Indian Reservation, Christy says she always knew she was destined for stardom.

"I’m not afraid to get hurt or get dirty. I rode dirt bikes as a kid. I was always outside. I guess I have always been sort of a tomboy," she said.

Christy has been a "Juggy" on "The Man Show," an MTV video dancer, a "Harley Girl" and a member of the New York Euphoria of the Lingerie Football League. She has also done modeling for French Maxim and Rolling Stone Magazine.

Today Christy is a World Wrestling Entertainment Diva. She was chosen in September by a national television audience to win $25,000 and a yearlong contract with the Women Advertisement

of WWE Wrestling.

Besides being a regular on Spike TV’s "Monday Night Raw," Christy says she will always consider Temecula her home.

My dad and sister Deena still live in Temecula and "whenever I get the chance I like to visit with them," Christy said during a telephone interview.

Since September Christy has been to Cancun, Mexico, for a photo shoot with other WWE Divas.

She is hoping to be selected to go to Iraq with other wrestling stars to help boost troop morale.

" Being a WWE Diva takes beauty, brains and muscle. I’ve got them all. I work hard and play hard; I’m a real spitfire but I don’t want to be someone else’s back up dancer. I just want to be the best WWE Diva," she said. "Happy holidays to all of my fans and thanks for always supporting me."
