Man, 76, dies in Mountain Center motorcycle crash

MOUNTAIN CENTER – A 76-year-old Palm Desert man was killed when he lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was ejected in the unincorporated Mountain Center area of Riverside County, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, March 24, on westbound state Route 74 east of Scenic Drive, California Highway Patrol Officer M.J. Murawski said.

The motorcyclist was found unconscious and taken by paramedics to Eisenhower Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 11:12 p.m., according to the Riverside County coroner’s office. His name has not been released pending notification of relatives.

The CHP investigation continued, Murawski said.
