One hundred fifty riders participated in the inaugural Lake Elsinore Rotary Rumble on April 7 to benefit charitable causes in the community. Rotary Club President-Elect Police Capt. Louis Fetherolf also rode with the group in a 58-mile course up Bundy Canyon Road, around the Diamond Valley Lake area in Hemet and the Temecula area. Raffle ticket-holder Richard Varela won the 2007 Custom Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster valued at $14,000. Sponsors included Lake Chevrolet, Edmondson Construction Co., Quaid Temecula Harley Davidson and Near-Cal Corp. General Contractors, who contributed donations to purchase the motorcycle raffle prize. Sales of the $20 tickets and other donations will be used to finance local Rotary Club projects.
