Palomar announces student art sale

SAN MARCOS — Well timed before the upcoming holidays, Palomar College’s very popular semiannual student art, glass, pottery, ceramics, jewelry and photography sale is on schedule for Thursday to Saturday, Nov. 29-Dec. 1, at the college’s San Marcos campus, 1140 West Mission Road.

The Student Art and Craft Sale will be conducted at the timber frame structure at the south end of campus between the Howard Brubeck Theatre and Lot 15. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

from a wide variety of items handcrafted by Palomar students. The assortment include dishes, planters, plates, platters, trivets, stoneware, jewelry, bowls, cups, wind chimes, hand-blown glass vases, goblets, stained glass, paperweights, ornaments, sculpture, prints, cards, calendars and metal and other decorative items.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit Palomar art students and the department. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.

Shoppers without campus parking permits should use the main campus entrance on Mission and obtain a visitor’s pass at the adjacent Campus Police location.
