Sip, swirl and shop!

Throughout December, Keyways Vineyard and Winery will present Sip and Shop. Shoppers will have a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres by a fire. The winery also plans a month-long Red and White Christmas wine sale. Select red and white wines will be discounted during the month, with some varietal cases marked down by as much as 50 percent. The Grape Seed Spa at South Coast Winery and Resort is offering a 50-minute aromatherapy massage that features creams, essential oils and essence of brown sugar. The $165 price tag also includes a glass of wine.

Award-winning wines

Briar Rose Winery’s award winning wines have been announced. Its 2006 Estate Viognier was awarded a silver medal at the Jerry D. Meade New World International Wine Competition, and its 2005 Estate Zinfandel is a double medal winner, a bronze medal at 2007 Riverside International Wine Competition, and a gold medal winner at the 2007 Temecula Valley Wine Society Wine Competition.
