Congregation B’nai Chaim will hold a Tu B’Shevat Seder on Jan. 27 at B’nai Chaim at 29500 Via Princesa in Murrieta.

The children of the religious school, their families and congregants will participate in this event.

Following the Seder, the children and their teachers will plant a tree in honor of the holiday. After the tree planting, a potluck lunch will be held.

Their Rabbi’s name is Rabbi Barry Ulrych.

On Tu B’Shevat the congregation celebrates a New Year for the trees, rejoicing in the fruit of the tree and the fruit of the vine, celebrating the splendid, abundant gifts of Advertisement

the natural world.

Tu B’Shevat marks the beginning of spring in Israel. To mark this moment, schoolchildren plant trees.

Often these trees have been provided by the contributions of Jewish students abroad through the offices of the Jewish National Fund.

For Jews outside of Israel, Tu B’Shevat is a celebration of the renewal of vision and awareness, a celebration of connections and connectedness to one’s inner-self, to the social world of human beings and to the natural world and its source.
