Downtown Fallbrook, the Friendly Village, under the auspices of the Fallbrook Area Visitors Bureau, is proud to welcome all to their first – not to be missed – Wine & "A Bite" Art Walk event that will take place June 21 from 5 to 7 p.m.

This is an opportunity to sip, sample and saunter while discovering the charm of Fallbrook at this inaugural event.

The Art Walk events will take place the third Saturday each month throughout the summer, with the final Wine & "A Bite" Art Walk for the season to be held in September.

Linda Kissam, executive director of the Fallbrook Area Visitors Bureau, recently shared with me her announcement that this event will feature food from three popular Fallbrook restaurants, wine from an award-winning winery and unique art experiences at each stop.

Take in fine gourd art at the Fallbrook Art Center, hands-on ceramics and printmaking at the Art Campus of Fallbrook, fine paintings at the Jacques Company & Gallery and the human form at Brandon Gallery.

a bite of food from La Caseta Mexican restaurant, Trupiano’s Italian Bistro, The Lace Apron and Café des Artistes. A glass of wine at each stop will be provided by Orfila Winery.

The art campus will give participants a hands-on experience throwing clay on a wheel (aprons provided) as well as interactive splash art painting à la Jackson Pollack.

Brigitte Schlemmer, executive director of the Fallbrook School of the Arts, is quoted, "We wanted to give everyone an opportunity to get wet and dirty and learn a little bit about what goes into art."

This is the first of four Art Walks that are scheduled on June 21, July 19, Aug. 16 and Sept. 20. Cost is $20 per person, designated driver $10 and a $3 processing fee. A map, wineglass and drink/beverage tickets are included in price.

For further information on the Wine & "A Bite" Art Walk, please phone (760) 451-3282 or (877) 451-3282 (toll-free) or look up www.FindFallbrook.com.

Until next time, take care and enjoy life. CHEERS!
