Temecula Valley Elks recently named Denny Mighell as Citizen of the Year and honored him at a dinner and presented him with a plaque.

In 1992 Denny and his wife, Maryann, founded Temecula Valley People Helping People, of which he is president/CEO.

They have lived in Temecula for more than 20 years and from 1991-2004 Denny was sales and fleet manager at Paradise Chevrolet.

He has worked over the years to bring many of nonprofit organizations and other groups together to help each other and share information.

In 1995 Denny was Grand Marshal in Temecula’s Fourth of July Parade and the Riverside County Board of Supervisors selected him Man of the Year for 2006.

In 2008, Temecula Valley People Helping People provided gifts and food to more than 10,000 children, families and seniors. It also provided hundreds of stuffed animals to local area hospitals and law enforcement.
