RIVERSIDE - The family of an 83-year-old Desert Hot Springs woman has yet to be found, nearly a week after she was found dead near Needles Highway and the Nevada state line in San Bernardino County, a deputy coroner said today.

Patricia Thelma McCombs' body was found about 3:30 p.m. Monday in a field about 30 feet from her vehicle near River Road and Soto Ranch Road, north of Needles, according to the San Bernardino County coroner.

It appeared McCombs may have abandoned her Advertisement
vehicle to seek help at a nearby casino and collapsed, according to the coroner.

The death investigation continued as authorities sought her relatives, said Deputy Coroner Gabriel Morales.

McCombs was also known as Patricia Thelma Corbor-Dookie and Patricia Thelma Corbor, was a resident of Desert Hot Springs, according to the coroner.

Morales urged anyone with information about the woman or her family to call the San Bernardino County coroner's office at (909) 387-2978, and refer to coroner's case number 700904306.
