Friday, July 10th, 2009.
Issue 28, Volume 9.

All funds raised by Bobby’s Journey Golf Tournament, sponsored through Temecula Valley People Helping People at Seven Hills Golf Club in Hemet, will go toward paying for Bobby McDonald’s medical bills and cancer treatment.

The tournament will be played at the Seven Hills Golf Club in Hemet on Sunday, July 12. There will be a 1 p.m. shotgun start, scramble format.

McDonald was born on Feb. 18, 1965. In January, the longtime Temecula Valley resident was diagnosed with a rare form of melanoma.

With medical bills pilling up, a couple of McDonald’s golfing buddies came up with the idea to have a golf tournament to help raise money for him.

Because the event is being sponsored through a nonprofit, all prizes, sponsorships, gifts and the like are tax-deductible.

Cost of $70 per player includes golf, a Mexican banquet afterward and networking opportunities.

Each participating golfer will Advertisement
receive a goodie bag filled with items from local companies. Winning foursomes will receive prizes as well.

The tournament will include several games: closest to the pin, long drive and putting contests. There will also be raffle prizes and a silent auction.

Single players are welcome; provide handicap or average score for placement in a compatible foursome.

Those who would like to attend the banquet only may purchase tickets for $20.

Receipts for tax purposes will be provided for all tournament payments and donations (any denomination gladly accepted).

Payment via cash or PayPal is available at www.tvphp.org/fundraisers.

Seven Hills Golf Club is at 1537 S. Lyon Ave. in Hemet.
