TEMECULA - Two men barged into a room at the Ramada Old Town Temecula Thursday and beat up and tied up the guest before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.

The robbery occurred before 7 a.m. at the motel in the 28000 block of Old Town Front Street, according to police sheriff's Sgt. Michael Hatfield.

The guest heard a knock on the door and when he opened it, the suspects rushed him and knocked him down, Hatfield said. One suspect was described as white, with short blond hair and brown eyes, about 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He wore a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black "beanie" cap, Hatfield said. The second suspect is a Latino about 35 years old, 5 feet 10 inches and 170 pounds, with short dark hair.

He wore a black, long-sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans, Hatfield said.

Out of the many rooms how did they know to pick this room at this time...pure luck? Not likely...

A:) They knew or knew of the guy...
