55-year-old Murrieta man killed in motorcyle crash identified as Michael Strong

TEMECULA - A 55-year-old Murrieta man who died in a motorcycle crash in Temecula was identified today by the coroner.

Michael Strong was pronounced dead at 6:02 p.m. at Rancho Springs Medical Center, about 45 minutes after the crash at Solana Way and Del Rey Road, according to the coroner and Temecula police.

Investigators determined Strong was riding east on Solana Way towards the `T' junction with Del Rey Road, went through the intersection and into a dirt berm, according to Temecula police.

TEMECULA - A 56-year-old Murrieta man was killed today in a motorcycle crash in Temecula, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The crash occurred about 5:15 p.m. at La Serena Road and Del Rey Road, said sheriff's Lt. Charlie Wilhite.

Preliminary information indicates the motorcyclist was traveling east on La Serena where it ends in a T-intersection with Del Rey Road and went through the intersection into a dirt berm. No other vehicles were involved.

The man's name was not immediately provided.
