BLYTHE - Investigators today were trying to determine the identity of a person whose human skull and jawbone were found in the desert in an unincorporated area of Blythe, a sheriffs detective said. The remains were found around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday about five miles south of Graham Pass and Chuckawalla Valley Road, said Det. Dean Spivacke. The human remains appeared to have been at the location for some time and the case is being handled as a suspicious death, Spivacke said. The remains were taken to the Riverside County coroners office for examination by a forensic anthropologist. Anyone with information about the remains was asked to call the sheriff's department at (760) 393-3300.
