LAKE ELSINORE - Authorities today arrested a 19-year-old who was on the lam following a brawl that left a man with injuries requiring reconstructive surgery.

Tony Renee Dawson Jr. is accused in a Jan. 18 fight at the Harbor Grand Apartments in which a man suffered multiple broken bones in his face and nose, said sheriff's Sgt. Patrick Chavez.

Dawson was picked up about 1 p.m. today in the 24800 block of Hancock Ave., in Murrieta, according to sheriff's officials.

His bail, booking charges and arraignment information were not available tonight.

His father, Tony Renee Dawson Sr., and Rodney Earl Love, are already in custody.

The victim, whose name was not released, was kicked and punched repeatedly about the face and body and needed surgery to repair his injuries, authorities said.

Two other suspects in the case, Dawson Sr. and Love, were arrested late last month at the Harbor Grand Apartments by deputies who responded to a shots-fired call Jan. 22, according to sheriff's Sgt. Patrick Chavez.

Deputies recognized the two men as suspects in the Jan. 18 assault case and took them into custody, Chavez said.

Dawson Jr. had managed to escape following the brawl and had been hiding out, authorities said.

Love, 20, and Dawson Sr., 38, have both pleaded not guilty to assault charges, with gang, bodily injury and gun allegations.
