MURRIETA - Sheriff's officials today released the name of a Vista man suspected of robbing two banks in two weeks in Riverside County.

Manuel Enriquez-Ortiz, 23, was arrested Wednesday after sheriff's deputies spotted the suspect vehicle -- a maroon Toyota Tundra with chrome wheels -- on Interstate 15, according to sheriff's Sgt. Patrick Chavez.

A Wells Fargo bank in Corona had just been robbed and the description of the suspect and his vehicle was broadcast to law enforcement officers, Chavez said.

Enriquez-Ortiz was stopped in Lake Elsinore and inside the truck, authorities found money and clothing that allegedly had been used in both robberies, Chavez Advertisement

Enriquez-Ortiz is also suspected of robbing a Chase bank in Wildomar on March 9, as well as banks in San Diego County.

The FBI has joined the investigation, as have other local law enforcement agencies in San Diego County, Chavez said.

Authorities say the robber would walk into a bank, lift up his suit jacket and display a gun.

A surveillance photo of the Wildomar robbery clearly shows the robber's face, though he wore large sunglasses and a baseball cap down to his ears.

He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
