Translate this page Comic-Con: a ride through pop culture, comic books, costumes, zombie chicks, and all things nerdyFriday, August 13th, 2010 Issue 32, Volume 14.
The event, which began in 1990 as a small gathering of comic book lovers in a hotel basement in San Diego, has exploded into a huge event. It gets national coverage, and draws more than 120,000 people a year to America’s Finest City. It sells out early in the year, and leaves those who want to go to the event Advertisement For those who have never been to the event, and aren’t really sure what the appeal is, the highlights are celebrity sightings and first views at new movies, costumes and hard-to-find collectibles and comics, swag and being surrounded by like-minded people. If for some reason you weren’t able to attend the 41st Annual Comic-Con, don’t worry; you can buy the 42nd Annual Comic-Con tickets online soon. Did anyone fact check this story? I like how you say "The event, which began in 1990" and then at the end of the story you say "If for some reason you weren’t able to attend the 41st Annual Comic-Con" Did anyone think to do the math on this? The convention was started in 1970, just in case you want to have the correct facts for your story.
Guest, sounds like a typo? Don't get your Superman underoos in a bundle!! |
