This week marks a month since 17-year-old Norma Angelica Lopez was abducted and found murdered in Moreno Valley. Investigators say they’re following many leads but there are no suspects. Norma disappeared on July 15th on her way to a friend’s house after finishing a summer class at Valley View High School. Investigators say she took shortcut through a field. A man doing tractor work on his property found Norma’s body 5 days later. The remote, grass-covered field where her body was found is only 2 ˝ miles from her destination. Nobody knows how Norma died or if she was sexually assaulted. Sergeant Joe Borja said he could Advertisement

not release any details from the autopsy or case.

"We’ve had a lot of leads but none are panning out. At this time we cannot release any information about the autopsy, it could tip-off potential suspects," said Borja adding that the full report wasn’t in and would take more time.

A green SUV was seen in the area where Norma disappeared but where the vehicle is and who was driving it remains a mystery.

Borja wanted to remind the public that a $35,000 reward is being offered to anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information should call (877) 242-4345 or email findnormaskiller@riversidesheriff.org

Green SUV? Is it possible the same suspect in the Michigan and Virginia murders took a trip to California during July and committed this crime too?

None of these comments are for real. Whatever, there should have been no reason for this young girl to have lost her life. I hope that bastard dies before he is caught. May he not sleep after reading this.

To Eastman,
Do you mean the Morgan Harrington case???I felt the same way too.I also feel it may be connected to Kelly Nolan's case out in Madison,Wisconsin.I feel that someone is following certain family members that are connected to high profile cases. And this person has the ability to visit different states and just happens to be in the area. For instance, the band called Metallica had a concert at San Quentin State Prison a few years ago.Morgan went to the Metallica concert out in West Virginia and she is found in a remote area of Anchorage Farm. The person who owns the Farm has the same last name as the person who wrote the book,The Body Farm. And alot of people from San Diego County from the forensic side went up to Madison,Wisconsin to help identfy Kelly's remains. They still haven't found her killer or Morgan's.And somehow I feel he is connected to Norma Lopez case and the person is a hunter and he happens to own farmland or property in different states.

Unless someone has direct information about the Norma Lopez murder, all of the opinions in the world only serve to entertain the writer. All that can be done is to wait for the police to finish their work.
