Oct. 16 –Hamilton Museum annual fallarts and crafts fair will feature a cider press in operation turning local mountain apples into juice, local apple pie bakers vying for championship honor, and more. There will be all sorts of crafts including wood carving, pottery, purses, jewelry, and weaving. Items will be available for purchase. Hamilton Museum is on south Contreras Road in Anza. Oct. 16 and 17 –10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Autumn Splender Quilt Show presented by the Mountain Quilters of Idyllwild and the Anza Quilters will be held at the Idyllwild Elementary School gym, 26700 Highway 243. Enjoy over 100 quilts on display, silent auction, contests, crafts and opportunity drawing. Admission $7. (951) 659-0546.

Oct. 23 – 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Tire collection day held at the Anza Transfer Station, 40329 Terwilliger Road, Anza. The event will collect tires as well as appliances, electronics and hazardous waste. Information: (951) 763-2535.

Nov. 20 – 6:30 a.m. Inaugural Anza 5k Turkey Trot and Childrens 1.2-Mile Fun Run. First race is at 7:45 a.m. Turkey will be awarded to the first-place finisher in each age group. All proceeds will go to the Hamilton High School XC/Track programs. The race starts at Hamilton High School, 57430 Mitchell Road, Anza.
