By 2:50 p.m., the line of cars snaking along northbound Interstate 15 where it merges with I-215 was three miles long, according to Caltrans. An asphalt truck hauling a 12-ton load overturned at the three-lane juncture in San Bernardino County around 1 p.m, said Caltrans spokeswoman Terri Advertisement The clean-up effort was expected to last well into the evening rush, and motorists coming from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties were advised to consider alternative routes north. Kasinga said going east on I-210 and turning north onto the 215 is a viable option. But she cautioned to expect slow travel on the 215 because of the accident. 2 comments
