Tow truck driver pinned under SUV pronounced dead

PERRIS - A tow truck driver was killed today when an SUV he was trying to secure at the Lake Perris Fairgrounds rolled on top of him.

The accident happened around 12:20 a.m. in the 18700 block of Lake Perris Drive, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.

Ryan Everly, 35, of Apple Valley, suffered fatal injuries while attempting to place an SUV on his flatbed, coroner's officials said.

County firefighters arrived to find Everly pinned underneath the vehicle and freed him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
