HEMET – A San Jacinto man lost control of his sedan, was flung from the vehicle and then landed on the roadway, where he was struck by another vehicle and killed, the coroner’s office reported on Oct. 21.

Paul Vavao, 23, died of his injuries at Hemet Valley Medical Center after the 9:09 p.m. incident Saturday, Oct. 20.

He was apparently driving on westbound Domenigoni Parkway when his vehicle inexplicably left the roadway about 700 feet west of Searl Parkway, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.

Coroner’s officials report that Vavao’s car veered up an embankment before he was ejected, only to land on the roadway. A sport utility vehicle then hit him.
