The CIF-SS Cross Country Prelims were held this past weekend at Mt SAC and a number of local teams did well. The top seven teams in each division will go to the State meet from the Finals round this weekend. Here are the top team and individual Prelims results:

Division 1 Boys:

Vista Murrieta: #1 in heat (1:18.32); Porter Reddish (2-15:17), Omar Solis (5-15:32). Team is ranked #2 in Division, #5 in State.

Great Oak: #2 in heat (1:19.46); Gordie Thomas (8-15:50), Jack Balder (9-15:51). Team is ranked #7 in Division, #8 in State.

Paloma Valley: Zach Castor (10-15:52), Edgar Ramirez (14-15:54)

Division 1 Girls:

Great Oak: #1 in heat (1:30.47); Miranda Kewley (5-18:01), Haley Dorris (6-18:02), Ashley Helbig (7-18:02), Christian Calain (8-18:14). Team is ranked #1 in Division, #1 in State.

Vista Murrieta: #2 in heat (1:35.09); Amanda Crissinger (7-18:33), Bethany Ballady (14-18:54). Team is ranked #11 in Division.

Temecula Valley: #3 in heat (1:36.03); Angela Ziff (3-18:20), Brittany Armstrong (10-18:53), Olivia Rivera (11-18:56).

Paloma Valley: #7 in heat (1:31.11); Kiara McIntosh (1-18:01), Hannah Doty (8-18:43).

Chaparral: Chandler Kerr (6-18:30).

Division 5 Girls:

Linfield Christian: #4 in heat (1:44.26); Jackie Crowther (2-18:29), Briana Wilson (16-20:32).
