11:30 am: SDG&E estimates power will be restored to the area by 3:30 pm; the Sheriff's Dept. said E. Mission has not been reopened yet.

9 am: There is still gridlock on Gum Tree Ln. but traffic has lightened up from earlier this morning.

8 am: Road closure moved to Hamilton and E. Mission, detouring traffic to Gum Tree Lane.

FALLBROOK - About 4:45 am this morning, a van hit a telephone pole, knocking the telephone pole on top of the van on E. Mission near Fallen Leaf in Fallbrook. SDGE has a crew replacing the pole on E. Mission.

Road closures are set up at Live Oak Park Road and E. Mission and Stagecoach Lane and E. Mission to detour traffic to Gum Tree. As of 7 am traffic was backed up at least a mile in all directions.

The accident left several lines down in the roadway.

Apparently the driver is unhurt.

SDGE had 51 customers without power as a result of the accident.

I live on Gum Tree and since the accident traffic has been diverted from Mission to Hamilton then Gum Tree. Looking at my security camera traffic is still bumper to bumper at 7:10 am

The accident isn't at Stagecoach it's closer to Fallen Leaf off of E. Mission. The road is just closed at Stagecoach.

At 9:45 we still have heavy traffic on Gum Tree so Mission must be still closed.

I don't believe Mission will be closed too much longer. SDGE estimated that they would be finished around 10 am.

Just came home from work at noon, and Mission was still closed. Our house backs up to Gum Tree, and the traffic is still flowing out there.

12:30 East Mission at Stagecoach is blocked off, workers are on site. Don't even go near there, you will be stuck in mega traffic.
