MURRIETA - A man and woman were jailed for allegedly trying to buy a laptop computer with a stolen credit card on Black Friday, a sergeant said today.

Security guards at a Target store on California Oaks Road reportedly spotted a man with a tattoo of brass knuckles on his face, as the man tried to buy a laptop computer with a credit card. The man, later identified as Jeffrey Michael Cole, 29, had reportedly been spotted using stolen credit cards at the Target earlier.

Cole and an alleged accomplice, Jinny Francis Angels, 20, sped away in a vehicle, Murrieta police Sgt. Matt Henry said in a statement.

[ The Tutoring Center ] and tried pulling the vehicle over as Angels reportedly was throwing items out the window. Cole stopped at a nearby eatery, and the pair both bolted from the car, Henry said.

Both suspects were chased, caught and arrested.

Officers learned that the credit card Cole allegedly used had been reported stolen from a vehicle at a health club. The items Angels allegedly jettisoned, and other things found in Cole's car, had been stolen in past vehicle burglaries, Henry said.

Cole and Angeles remained behind bars today for a host of alleged offenses, including second degree burglary. They are both slated to appear in court on Wednesday, according to online jail records.
