Traffic Collision in Perris

PERRIS - Four people were injured in a two-car crash at a Perris intersection, a spokeswoman said today.

An occupant was trapped in one of the mangled vehicles that crashed shortly before midnight Saturday at Nuevo Road and Perris Boulevard. Firefighters used a hydraulic power tool to pry open the wrecked car and free the occupant, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.

One person suffered moderate injuries while the three occupants had injuries Hagemann described as minor.
