Senior Porter Reddish of Vista Murrieta finished fourth in Division 1 at the CIF State meet in Fresno with a time of 15:14, qualifying him for a spot at the Nike Cross Nationals (NXN) to be held in Portland, Oregon this weekend. Reddish was only nine seconds behind State Champion Juan Gonzalez from Lake Forestís El Toro High School (15:04).

The Vista Murrieta boys cross country team finished fourth in Division 1 with 146 points. Omar Solis (15:34) finished 15th and Garrett Mulleneix (15:39) finished 25th. Maurillo Sanchez (16:04) finished 60th; John Hernandez (16:17) finished 87th; Matthew Smith and Davey Wong(16:24) finished 106thand 107th, respectively.

Vista Murrieta was the only Division 1 school to place both its boys and girls teams in the top ten.

Reddish has competed before at Nike Track Nationals in 2011, placing 27th in the Mile Run (4:19.74).

Congratulations Vista Murrieta cross country teams and good luck at Nike Nationals, Porter!
