Translate this page Two Injured in Crash Triggered by Alleged Suicidal TeenTuesday, December 4th, 2012 Issue 49, Volume 16.
The collision occurred around 2:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Benton and Warren roads in Temecula, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Investigators discovered that the 16-year-old, whose name was not released, allegedly steered his car straight into a vehicle driven by a 52-year- old man. The boy and the man suffered minor to moderate injuries. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment, sheriff's officials said. Investigators intend to request that the teen be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. 1 comments
A broken sternum is not a minor injury. The 52 year old man is lucky he is not dead. His car was destroyed when it was struck by a vehicle nearly twice the weight of his SUV. No wonder the kid did not succeed in killing himself. The physics do not quite work. He also fled the scene without any regard for the injured 52 year old man. The man will be out of work until his sternum heals and now he will need to find a car to replace the one he lost. I feel sorry for the kid and his parents. |
