The Pumas then went to the Oak Hills Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 15, where they beat Redlands East Valley (2-5) 2-0 in the morning and then Knight High School (5-1) from Palmdale 4-0 in the afternoon. Sophomore Vanessa Reyes and Strang scored for the Pumas in the morning game; Grace Mitzel and Paige Posvar provided the assists while sophomore goalie Makayla Pregrave had two saves. In the afternoon game, Pregrave had five saves as Strang showed her firepower with three goals and Posvar added another. Freshman Bianca McFarland had two assists, while sophomore Tianna Brown and senior Amanda Schaaf each contributed one. The Pumas brought their 6-0-2 record into Tuesday’s game against Centennial of Corona (2-0-2).
