We can't begin to know what demons Mr. McClanahan was struggling with.

But, with very few exceptions, suicide is not the answer.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

I grew up with Steve and he was a nice guy. I just recently re-connected with him on facebook and talked with him briefly. I am very sorry that this happened and will keep him in my prayers as I long as I live. I think of him often and am sad that he was in so much turmoil...wish I would have known. Will keep his family in my prayers as well. Very sorry this happened.
