WILDOMAR (Wire Service) - A motorist was killed today, January 3, in a rollover crash in Wildomar, authorities said. Daniel Medina, 24, of Lake Elsinore, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in the 21800 block of Grand Avenue.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, at about 2:30 a.m., Medina apparently lost control of his 1996 Acura sedan, which traveled onto the shoulder of the road and struck several trash cans before colliding with a wall.

Medina -- who was not wearing a seat belt -- was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled several times, ending up in the backyard of a residence, sheriff's officials said.

No other injuries were reported.
