Humans are forgetful. It’s just a fact and an embarrassment that we all have to come to grips with. We forget things from birthdays and anniversaries to names and people’s faces. Some parents even forget they have kids…but that might be deliberate.

One of saddest things we forget, and way too often I might add, is what God has done in our lives. We get consumed in the here and now, which is usually filled with the stresses and difficulties of life. It’s in these times we totally space the amazing things God has already done in our lives. But this is precisely when we should remind ourselves that God has already proven himself to be faithful.

I’m not one of those guys who thinks it’s healthy to drudge up the past and have a "Poor Me Party." But I firmly believe that if there is something from our Advertisement

past experiences that we should always remember it’s the good things God has done in our lives. Scripture tells us to: "Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done." (1 Chronicles 16:8)

How would your life be different if you started focusing on the great things God has already done in your life instead of all the negative things going on? What if you started giving thanks for the past faithfulness of God and believing that he will show himself faithful again? Just like he always has!

If you want to change your life, start by never forgetting how God has taken care of you. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He will always prove himself to be great in your life. We just have to choose to remember his faithfulness and then thank him for it.
