Temescal Canyon Titans boys’ basketball team beat Blair (47-20), Sultana (63-42), and Carter (48-35) in pool play to advance to the finals round of the Paloma Valley Winter Shootout Tournament where they faced the West Valley Mustangs.

The Mustangs continued their nine-game win streak with a 37-17 second half to win the tourney title game. Third place went to the Elsinore Tigers (10-5) as they defeated the Boulder City (7-3), Nevada team 75-57. Reynaldo Solarzano had 21 points, 11 rebounds for the Tigers.

In a back and forth game, Paloma Valley (4-10) held on to defeat Valley View 57-53 for fifth place. Canyon Springs claimed seventh with a 57-41 win over Carter. Blair beat Ramona 47-36 for ninth place and Sultana dominated California Military Institute Roughriders (3-8) 81-38.
