Translate this page Caltrans worker critically injured in alleged DUI hit-and-run crash on 91 freewayTuesday, January 15th, 2013 Issue 03, Volume 17.
The crash was reported around 9:30 p.m. on the westbound side of the freeway at the 14th Street off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol. The contract employee was setting up a lane closure at the gore point of the exit when he was struck, Terri Casinga of Caltrans told KCAL9. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, the station reported. A suspect whose car was found with heavy damage was taken into custody a short time after the crash, said Casinga, but it was unclear where. "To my knowledge they do have someone in custody," Casingasaid. "Again, it is alleged DUI." The Ninth Street on-ramp and right lane of the freeway was closed as a result of the crash, according to the CHP. 0 comments Be the first to share your opinion on this article! |
