15-year-old girl and 20-year-old man arrested in case of baseball bat attack on a Temecula man

TEMECULA - (SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE) - On Friday, January 18, 2013, Investigators arrested a female juvenile, age 15 from Temecula, for attempted murder, as well as Andre Dickerson, age 20 from Temecula, for attempted murder.

On 01/13/13 at 11:05 PM officers with the Temecula Police Department were called to 45125 Via Del Coronado, Temecula regarding a person who had been assaulted with a baseball bat. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim agreed to meet a 15-year-old female at the park. When he arrived he met the 15-year-old and she advised him to walk over the restrooms. The victim walked over to the restrooms and he was assaulted by a black male adult with a baseball bat. The report was taken by patrol officers for the Temecula Police Department and sent to Southwest Station Investigators.

Investigators eventually located the 15-year-old female and they were able to obtain a search warrant for her home. The Investigators were able to recover the baseball bat used in the assault as well as her cell phone which had pictures of the person who actually carried out the assault.

Temecula man struck with baseball bat, recovering from injuries

TEMECULA - A 20-year-old Temecula man was recovering today from injuries suffered in an attack perpetrated by a baseball bat-wielding suspect who remains at large.

The near-deadly assault happened about 11 p.m. Sunday in Kent Hintergardt Park, 45125 Via Del Coronado, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

A man told deputies he had gone to the location to a rendezvous with a woman but instead encountered a man carrying a bat, who confronted him as he waited in the park.

The victim was struck multiple times but remained conscious and managed to reach his car after the attack. He drove home and was taken to Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta by family members, according to sheriff's officials.

Investigators do not believe the assailant randomly attacked the victim. However, no other details were released.

Anyone with information was urged to call the sheriff's Temecula station at (951) 696-3000.

that's what you get for meeting a 15 year old at a park at 11:00 at night! No sympathy here.
