Parking lot dangers

Friday, January 18th, 2013
Issue 03, Volume 17.

Recently I saw a tragic story about a small child who was accidentally killed when running into a parking lot. It’s very hard to hold on to small children (especially while talking on a cell phone) and I think about them every time I see a speeder in a parking lot – which is daily at a shopping center on Haun Road in Menifee.

Not only do people ignore backing cars but they race like they are on a city street. Families and old people are walking near their cars and the chance of being hit by a speeding car is tremendous. Is it possible to monitor this and issue tickets?

Maybe in the city of Menifee we can implement some sort of policy or monitoring system and set a good example for surrounding communities. What about this, Menifee City Council?
