Air Force cadets graduate from training on base

RIVERSIDE COUNTY – The following airmen have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. They have completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Air Force Airman Daniel P. Barker     

Barker is the son of John and Nora Barker of Ortona Street, Temecula. He is a 2008 graduate of Great Oak High School, Temecula.

Alfonso Hernandez

Hernandez is the son of Maria Hernandez of McBurney Avenue, Lake Elsinore. He is a 2011 graduate of Lakeside High School, Lake Elsinore.

Air Force Airman Jeff J. Smullen

Smullen is the son of Stacy Braglia of Carmel Creek Road, San Diego, and the former ward of Sam and Cheryl Warner of Brownestone Way, Murrieta. He is a 2011 graduate of Vista Murrieta High School.

Air Force Airman Andrew M. Whitford

Whitford is the son of Maggie Palacio of Sugarloaf Drive, Escondido, and Richard Whitford of Toft Drive, Lake Elsinore. He is a 2011 graduate of El Cajon Valley High School.
