PALM SPRINGS - Health Net Inc. has reached agreements to resume covering services at two Coachella Valley hospitals and four other medical centers in Los Angeles and Orange counties that were terminated from its network last month, the health insurance provider announced today.

The new, multi-year agreements between Health Net and Tenet Healthcare cover Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio, Fountain Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Los Alamitos Medical Center and Advertisement

Health Net stopped covering health and medical services at the hospitals at midnight Dec. 21, when a three-year contract expired. The new agreements reinstate and retroactively cover the hospitals, as if there was no termination, according to the insurance provider.

"We're pleased Health Net and Tenet Healthcare have been able to reach an agreement that will provide our customers with statewide access to quality health care while preserving affordable benefits," said Steve Sell, president of Health Net's Western Region Health Plan.
