Perris Blvd crash sends one to hospital

PERRIS - Once person had to be cut out of the wreckage as two cars crashed in Perris, a spokeswoman said today.

Firefighters used a hydraulic tool Friday night to pry open one of the mangled vehicles and free the moderately-injured occupant.

Dispatchers received a call at 6:12 p.m. of the crash that happened at Perris Boulevard and Hart Lane, Riverside County Fire spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

Hendrickson said the injured person was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Details about the cause of the crash were not available.
