Temecula Valley High School campus evacuated due to FireWednesday, January 30th, 2013 Issue 05, Volume 17.
Officials are reporting that the fire was on the roof of the auto shop building at the campus which is on Rancho Vista Road. Temecula Valley Unified School District spokeswoman Melanie Norton confirmed that the fire prompted a school wide evacuation and no injuries were reported.
At 11:50 a.m., Norton confirmed students and staff had returned to campus and that fire crews did in fact deem it safe to return to classrooms.
According to Deputy Albert Martinez, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was called to assist with traffic control at the scene, and at this point in time the cause of the blaze is under investigation by fire officials. 1 comments
