Daughters of Norway to celebrate soup and sweaters

RAINBOW – The Daughters of Norway Hulda Garborg Lodge #49 is holding their annual Soup and Sweaters meeting on Saturday, Feb. 9. The members are encouraged to wear their Scandinavian-inspired sweaters to this special meeting. Various varieties of soup made by members, along with rolls and other goodies will be brought for lunch.

Member Berit Austin Funnemark will talk about the folklore of trolls for the cultural program. She will be bringing part of her extensive collection of Advertisement

trolls to share with the group.

The cultural program starts at 11 a.m. All women of Scandinavian heritage are welcome to attend the Daughters of Norway meetings held the second Saturday of each month at the Rainbow Valley Grange Hall, 2160 Rainbow Valley Blvd.

Following the cultural program is lunch at noon and a business meeting at 12:45 p.m. For additional information, contact Lucette or Suzy Moramarco at (760)
