The five-vehicle crash was on westbound state Route 76 at Old Highway 395, just west of Interstate 15, shortly after 2:30 p.m., the CHP reported. One person was taken to a hospital following the crash, a North County dispatcher said. The roadway was shut down in both directions at 2:45 p.m., but one lane was reported open about 15 minutes later, according to the CHP. The other lane was reopened shortly after 3:30 p.m. Four tow trucks were dispatched to remove the wrecked vehicles, CHP officials said. 12 comments
What's going on.......so many crashes!
Hey New Fallbrook Owner - welcome to the new Fallbrook. This is what has happen to our community with the expansion of growth. Just wait until the new coolege and 800 homes are built! More traffic equals more accidents and crime. We best all get use to it or thank about moving further out.
THIS is what happens when our "terrific" politicians and their equally corrupt compadres, contractors, turn a blind eye and deaf ear in doing the right thing and FINALLY expanding the -- Oh wait a minute! I already said that ten days ago when that poor 19-year old young lady from Oceanside died on this MISERABLE 76! The politicians vote to bring more and more folks here and, thus, obtain more tax revenue for themselves -- oops, I mean the County of course -- but DO NOT do the right thing by expanding the necessary infra-structure, i.e., widened roads, necessary for this increase in population. Oh well.

Corruption? I think you're a little confused buddy. Corruption didnt cause this accident or any other accident on the 76. It's called driver negligence. The problem with people like you is that you always want to blame politics for everything that goes wrong in your life when in reality you need to take responsibility for your own actions. God bless.
Whoever allowed that construction to happen wasn't in their right mind every time I passed the intersection someone is in the wrong lane or trying to cut in a little too close because of the way that whole mess is set up, a couple of days ago I passed and there was a stay right sign that was a small as my rearview mirror!!!
Well said. It's not politicians, it's drivers...drivers that have no patience, drivers that text and drive, drivers that are just generally bad drivers. Of course, construction on the 76 can contribute, but that's being taken care of now, isnt it? Yes, maybe a little late in coming, but I tend to think those that complain about the construction would have complained whenever the work started. Please drivers, be a little patient and pay more attention to your driving.
It's as simple as this..... slow down and pay attition. I was driving behind a idiot yesterday while she was texting and crossing the double lines and braking every second. Then she wants to flick me off when I honked while oncoming traffic was coming her way. Saved your life and let you keep that finger.
Just curious, but how could you possibly come to the conclusion that she was texting from your point of view? Please don't make up stories, thanks.
Actually Comment#11 it is pretty easy to tell when people are texting or talking on their stupid phones because 1. They are looking down at their hand or lap area instead of the road or 2. They are holding the phone up to eye level to see better while attempting to drive. See it quite a bit. Usually it makes them go slower than everyone else and weave over the center line. Please don't be dumb. Thanks. |
