The date was Jan. 31, 2013. The opponent was Murrieta Valley. The score was 54-16. The Temecula Valley Wrestling Team won the Southwestern League Championship – for the 25th consecutive year.

According to the TVHS website, "This is a Riverside County and San Bernardino County record for the most consecutive league titles in any sport!" Temecula Valley has only lost one league match over that period.

Coach Arnold Alpert has been leading the program for 19 years, co-head coach Lyndon Campbell has been with him for 17 years.

Prior to that meet, on Jan. 25, the area’s two undefeated wrestling programs met head-to-head: Great Oak and Temecula Valley. The Golden Bears recorded six pins in the first seven match-ups en route to a 48-24 win.
