Deputies arrest man on drug and domestic abuse charges

LAKE ELSINORE - SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE - On Friday, February 8, 2013, at approximately 8 PM, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station responded to a residence in the 18000 block of Dexter Avenue in the unincorporated area of Lake Elsinore regarding a domestic violence call for service. The resident reported that her husband had assaulted her, and was possibly armed with a weapon.

Deputies responded to the residence, and detained the husband. Preliminary investigation revealed that the husband had been physically abusive toward his wife and was placed Advertisement

under arrest.

While at the house, deputies confiscated 5 firearms, several hundred rounds of ammunition, numerous storage jars containing marijuana and concentrated cannabis, digital scales, narcotic paraphernalia, and $700.00 in U.S. currency.

The suspect, Antonio Garcia Gonzalez, 53 years old of Lake Elsinore, was arrested for spousal abuse, and possession of marijuana for sale, and was transported to the Southwest Detention Center.
