Officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department were called to the 1000 block of Dolly Drive just after 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 regarding an unattended death, according to Sgt. Jeff Buompensiero of the sheriff's Central Homicide Unit. "Officers found a male who'd sustained traumatic injury to his body," Buompensiero said. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The man was identified as George Alongi, of Lake Elsinore, the sergeant said. "The cause of death will not be released at this time," Buompensiero said. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
