Girls water polo playoff pairings

A total of 141 teams will battle for seven divisional championships in the sixteenth year of the CIF Southern Section–Ford Girls Water Polo Championships, presented by Farmers. Wild card contests in all divisions were held on Tuesday, Feb. 12. Single-elimination tournaments will conclude with championship finals matches at William J. Woollett, Jr. Aquatics center on Feb. 23. Six Valley teams will be competing. Only one of three teams – Great Oak – made it out of the first round.

Tuesday, Feb 12

Div 2 Vista Murrieta (Southwestern #2) lost to Newbury Park (Marmonte #4), 7-4

Great Oak (Southwestern #3) defeated Millikan (Moore #3), 17-6

Chaparral (Southwestern At-Lg) lost @ Royal (Marmonte #2), 12-7

Thursday, Feb 14

Div 2 Murrieta Valley hosts ML King (Big VIII #2) who beat Westlake (Marmonte #3), 16-11 in wild card round

Great Oak Southwestern #3 @ Agoura (Marmonte #1)

Div 5 Elsinore (Sunbelt #2) @ Cerritos (San Gabriel Valley #2)

Temescal Canyon (Sunbelt #1) hosts Yucaipa (Citrus Belt #2)
