TEMECULA – For the second year in a row, CB International Realty and several additional local companies partnered with Operations Blankets of Love to collect blankets, comforters, bedding, toys, crates, collars, leashes, pet food, kitty litter and other dog and cat related items for homeless animals.

Items were collected from November 2012 through January 2013, and on Feb. 14, participants donated more than $2,500 worth of toys, blankets, food and various pet care items to local shelters and rescue operations.

"We are so thankful to the generous community members who helped up make this important donation. In addition to having various drop-off locations, we were so glad to have the added support of Synergy Capital Group and Escrow Docs in Temecula; Jenny’s Pet-Sitting in Oceanside; and Natural Pet Food & Supplies in Murrieta. The generosity was amazing and we look forward to collecting again for this great cause," said Blake Cory, broker and owner of CB International Realty.

CB International Realty also beseeched the online social community to get involved with the donation drive.

"We put out a challenge that for every ‘like’ we received on our Facebook page we would make a donation of one pound of food. In total, we donated 209 pounds of dry dog food, 169 Advertisement

[ Metalography ] cans of wet dog food, 38 pounds of dry cat food and 400 cans of wet cat food," said Cory.

Operation Blankets of Love collects, transports, and distributes recycled and new pet-related items to comfort stray, sick, neglected and abused homeless animals in shelters, rescue groups, sanctuaries and foster groups. In addition, as an Emergency Response Team, they partner with organizations to provide relief and comfort to animals that are displaced or endangered by catastrophe.

Monthly, Operation Blankets of Love assists thousands of homeless animals and more than 512 rescue groups in 30 cities and county shelters in California.
