Perris woman found dead in San Bernardino County grove

REDLANDS -- The body of a Perris woman was found in a Redlands orange grove but no arrests have been made as police were investigating the case, according to the Redlands Police Department.

The woman, identified by the San Bernardino County Medical Examiner's Office as 23-year-old Sylvia Marie Flores, was found at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday by a passerby at the edge of the grove south of Almond Avenue, west of Alabama Street, police said.

No other details of the Riverside County resident's death were immediately available but Redlands police said they are treating the case as a homicide.
